The annual inter-secondary school competitions is expected to start today October 20th with 53 secondary schools in both junior and senior categories lining up to participate.
The competition is expected to be played at two venues: the Brima Attouga mini complex at Cline Town for schools in the Eastern Part of the city and the National Stadium for schools in the Western Area.
The competition is organized by the Physical Health Education (PHE) division of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports.
The opening day of the competition which starts at the Brima Attouga complex, shall see Ahmadiyya Muslim Secondary School Kissy Dock Yard playing against Evangelical Secondary school in the volleyball competition to be continued with football matches.
The competition will continue at the National Stadium on Wednesday 21 October for the schools in the western area.
According to reliable information the authorities have put mechanisms in place to stop ghost pupils from participating in these competitions which always create confusion during the competitions.
Also according to the information the issues of security have been addressed by the necessary authorities in the best way possible to avoid violence during the competition and they have warned that any pupil caught in any violent conduct will face the full penalty of the law.
