The head coach of Mighty Blackpool Christian Cole, who also doubles as vice chairman of the coaches’ association, has disclosed to Awoko Sports that the Futuro three instructor courses have a resounding success.
He congratulated the organizers for the magnificent hospitality and support that was given to all participants during the course
He noted that Sudan, Mauritania, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Ghana, Nigeria and Ivory Coast had two participants each.
Coach Cole said during the course they operated and interacted in groups and commended the coordination between the two instructors, Hatheme from Tunisia and Terry from London.
He noted that the instructors worked on theoretical aspects whilst participants concentrated on the practical aspects and interacted with the Basam Academy’s U-15 players on the field.
The second phase of the programme was on youth football. The participants also visited an S.O.S village which is being sponsored by the Federation International Football Association (FIFA) and the ASec Football Academy.
Coach Cole assessed the course as an eye opener not only for Sierra Leone but to other participating countries.
