The Personal Assistant to the Foreign Affairs Minister, Abdulai Bayraytay has disclosed that Sierra Leone has received a $15M grant from the government of Indian.
The grant received from India is going to be utilized in the area of Agriculture for food self sufficiency.
Mr Bayraytay was yesterday appraising journalists about the activities of the Foreign Affairs Ministry where he said the country was on the verge of establishing a bi-lateral tie with India and setting up an embassy there.
The Minister’s Assistant reiterated that the Foreign Minister would visit India to sign various memorandum of understanding, stating further that it will be beneficial to have a tie with countries like India.
Part of the bi-lateral agreement is the exchange of land between India and Sierra Leone for the construction of embassies. India, like China is being referred to as the fastest growing economy in the world.
