In this year’s inter- schools competition in the Junior Volleyball category, Akibo-Betts Secondary school has defeated Behesti Secondary School.
In the first encounter, Akibo-Betts won by 25-22; and in the second game Behesti came very strong to level the score to one all, as they won the game by 29-27.
In the best of 15 to determine which School would emerge victorious, Akibo-Betts School was the better side, as they won the match by 15-13.
The other match which was supposed to take place between Wallace Johnson Secondary School and Tower Hill did not materialize, as Tower Hill Municipal School did not show up.
In the senior boys’ category, Government Model Secondary School came very strong to dismiss their opponent the Kingtom Secondary School by two straight set 25-23, 25-15 to move to the next stage of the competition.
In the female category, Government Model Secondary School failed to show up for their match against Vine Memorial Secondary school and as such Vine Memorial Secondary School was awarded the point.
