The School Volleyball competition which is been played at the National Stadium for Schools in the Western Area continues with Collegiate Secondary School defeating one of their arch rivals, the St Edwards Secondary School, in a thrilling and exciting match. The performance of both Schools was up to standard.
In the first encounter Collegiate defeated St Edwards Secondary School by 27-25 and in the second game St Edwards Secondary came back very strong to win the match by 25-22 to level the score.
In the final game which is the decider in a best of 15, both schools put up their best but Collegiate School won the match by 15-13 to proceed to the next stage of the competition.
This match was one of the best played so far in the on-going competition. In the senior girls category Government Rokel Secondary School wasted no time to dismiss their opponent Services Secondary School by two straight sets 25-12, 25-18.
In the junior boys category Dr-June Holst-Roness defeated UMASS by two straight sets 25-17, 27-25 to move to the next stage of the competition.
In the junior girls category Services Junior School at Wilberforce was very strong for their opponent the Wallace Johnson Secondary School, as they defeated them by two straight sets 25-2, 25-13
They out-played the Wallace Johnson Secondary School throughout the match as they scored vital points.
The competition continues at the Brima Attouga Complex at Cline Town for Schools in the Eastern part of the City.
