Supporters of the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) in the northern district of Port Loko have been urged to keep their cool and remain law abiding.
This was what turned out to be the key message of the Member of Parliament for Constituency 49, Honourable Ibrahim Kemoh Sesay, who now doubles as the presidential nominee for the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
He was in that district headquarter town to observe the end of the month of Ramadan, an occasion he used to deliver a message from President Ernest Bai Koroma and to stress the need for mutual respect.
Hon. Sesay said even though the president was appreciative of the massive turn out the people of that district had demonstrated for the party, yet he would not entertain any form of lawlessness.
The Transport and Civil Aviation Ministry nominee reflected on what he referred to as a recent unfortunate development in the district which resulted to the death of one person at Romene in the Bureh Kasseh Maconteh Chiefdom.
Hon Ibrahim Kemoh Sesay went further to explain the need for APC supporters to show responsible leadership, and urged them to forget about their individual differences and team up for national development.
Meanwhile, a team of troubleshooters comprising the Member of Parliament for Kaffu Bullom, Mohamed Khalil Kanu, and that of Bureh Kasseh Maconteh, Hon. Hassan Sheriff have arrived in the district.
