As the National Cricket league continues at the Kingtom oval RSLAF and the Asian Combined team won their matches over the weekend.
On Saturday the RSLAF defeated Murray Town by 4 wickets. Murray Town was the first to bat and they made 156 runs all out in 31 overs. Abubakarr Kargbo scored the highest runs of 38 to be followed by Richard Tommy with 27 runs while Abdul Saffa and Adolphus Massaquoi made 13 runs each.
In the bowling for RSLAF Ibrahim Kabia had 3 wickets for 4 runs while Sene Kamara had 2 wickets for 9 runs.
When RSLAF took the crease they made 157 runs for 5 wickets in 26.6 overs with Ibrahim Kabia with the highest runs of 45, Desmond Fillie with 28 runs George Kpundeh 25 not out, Sene Kamara 15 runs and Ibrahim Mansaray 14 runs.
Bowling for Murray Edward Senesie 2 wickets for 40 runs.
In the other match on Sunday Asian Combined defeated Mid-West by 6 runs.
When Asian Combined took the crease they made 245 all out in 34 overs with Lansana Lamin making the highest score of 90 runs, to be followed by Atiq with 46 runs, Julius Brewah 25 runs and Julius Quee 19 runs.
Bowling for Mid-West Solomon Williams had 3 wickets for 48 runs, Mohamed Kanesie 3 Wickets for 17 runs and Balowa Mansaray 2 wickets for 24 runs.
When Mid –West took the crease they replied with 239 all out in 37.5 overs with Balowa Mansaray scoring the highest of 63 runs for his side with Abubakarr Kamara with 36 runs, Emmanuel Pessima and Abess Gbla scoring 23 runs each with Victor Coker with 19 runs
Bowling for Asian Combined Atiq had 3 wickets for 27 runs, Binu 2 wickets for 42 runs Lansana Lamin 1 wicket for 39 runs and David Turner 16 runs
The competition will continue this weekend at the Kingtom oval.
