The Sierra Leone national cricket team is very determined to win the second edition of the North/West Africa cricket tournament in Nigeria, after Whitewashing their Malian counterparts by 379 runs in Abeokuta.
When their Malian counterpart took the crease they made 12 all out runs .The Sierra Leone team replied with 391 runs 6 wickets in 60 overs.
Emmanuel Kamara made the highest runs of 83, Abu Bakkar Kamara 53 runs, Jacob Mansaray 51 runs; Luseni Sensei 50 runs, Ibrahim Sesay 35 runs and Lansana Lamin 28 runs not out and also got 7 wickets with Gabriel Anthony getting two wickets.
In the other match at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) Cricket Oval, Nigeria defeated Ghana by 145 runs to enhance their chances of retaining the Northwest Africa Cricket Championship trophy.
The defending champions scored 210 runs for wickets in 50 overs, while Ghana could only manage 65 runs all out.
