The United Bank of Africa (UBA) which started operations on July 22nd 2008 has clocked 100 days; and in the process attracted about 1,500 customers.
In recognition of its 100 days in operations, UBA Bank over the weekend launched its Automated Teller Machine (ATM), which the Head of Country Operations, Ejiorfor Ndubuisi described as non stop operational.
Explaining their successes to the media, UBA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Abdulrahman Yinusa noted that the ATM service would enhance the banking experience of existing customers and also attract new ones. He said the continuous growth of customers was a clear indication that people in Sierra Leone were embracing UBA.
The MD reiterated their commitment to provide their customers with world- class financial services, for which the Bank is well-known.
He said as part of the Bank’s vision, they would continue to be the undisputed leading and dominant financial institution in Africa; as their expansion drive in the continent could be noticed in Ghana, Cameroun, Uganda, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, Chad, Burkina Faso, Senegal, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
“As a recognized leader within the financial services industry, UBA will continue its drive to be a role model for African businesses by creating superior value for all our stakeholders; abiding by the utmost professional and ethical standards, and building an enduring institution,” he said.
