One of the fastest growing Insurance company in Sierra Leone, The International Insurance Company (SL) Ltd has recorded huge success in Business with a premium Revenue of Le 2.2billion in 2007 from Fire, Marine, Motor and Miscellaneous insurance since its inception in August 1,2003.
The company mission statement is to establish the confidence of customers in the provision of Insurance services with a fulfilled work force and satisfied investors, and also making positive impact in the development of the country as part of the company’s corporate responsibility.
This year’s 5th Anniversary Celebration would be followed by a series of events which includes Public Lectures at British Council; Golf Tournament; Thanksgiving Service and Dinner on specified dates and places around Freetown.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nduka O Anyaso expressed gratitude to the pubic and private sectors including the Government and people of Sierra Leone for their good working relationship with the company.
He spoke about the company’s achievement within the five year period and further highlighted some of their challenges in working in the Country; maintaining that the company would soon provide all classes of Insurance except Life. He made mention of the company’s drive for professional excellence with an adequate package for insurers and partners.
The Managing Director disclosed that the company is noted for efficiency, dynamism and reliability powered by superb information Technology platform; with a trained, qualified and motivated staff endowed with integrity, discipline and ethics of the insurance profession.
The Manager of Business Development, Jabez Rogers Wright, commended President Koroma for his commitment and determination to improve the business industry and expressed thanks and appreciation to the company’s partners particularly the customers who had been working with the company over the past five years and called others to insure with the company as it is the only insurance you can trust.
He added that the company could now boast of over one thousand (1000) Clients in the Country. He then highlighted some of their corporate responsibilities and also made mention of their moral and financial support to the Sierra Leone Boxing Association, and support to Charity Organizations and promised to incorporate medical and travel insurance in the company. The International Insurance Company (SL) Ltd obtained Certificate of Registration and License under the Business Registration Act No. 17 of 1972 on the 7th of October, 2002 and was subsequently granted approval on the 19th of May, 2003.
