One of the candidates for the position of Director of Development of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association Emmanuel Pessima says he started cricketing administration within the Sierra Leone Cricket Association as School League Coordinator working in various roles including, Grassroots Coordinator, Western Area Cricket Development Officer, and I am currently the Social Media Officer and Development Coordinator, Northwest.
He said as founder of the Kent Cricket Club and a Certified ICC Level Two Cricket Coach, working within the SLCA has given me a wider perspective of the game and has allowed me to make many friends within the worldwide cricketing fraternity.
He revealed that he has established relationships with the Greece Cricket Federation, Kent County Cricket Club in England, The Lord’s Taverners in England, Tilford Cricket Club in England, Cobham Avorians Cricket Club in England, Twenty20 Cricket Community in England, Cricket Kindness in England, Cricket Australia Blind and Visual Impaired Department, Sydney Thunder in Australia, Mike Pawley Sports in Australia, Manly Warringah District Cricket Club in Australia, Pendle Hill Colts Cricket Club in Australia, Cricket New South Wales in Australia, Hockey New South Wales in Australia, Spotswood Cricket Club in Australia, etc. I have used these relationships to encourage extensive partnership and attracted contributions to the development of cricket in Sierra Leone, including the introduction of Darren Talbot to our country, who has gone on to become the current High-Performance Manager of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association.
According to some stakeholders they said Emmanuel Pessima is a young man with vision with such position he will add value to SLCA in his own little way.
