The former National Cricket Coach Cyril Panda who is also the desk officer of the Cricket Association has disclosed to Awoko that he had no hand in the visa refusal.
He said that they failed to do their assignment for the players to fill the declaration forms that should have been attached to their passports; instead it was in Nigeria that the Secretary General of the association Benka Coker who went for the Visas filled out the declaration forms and signed it.
It was wrong for the secretary to do it in that way as it was an improper conduct. After creating their own problem and failed to secure the visa in Nigeria, they went to Ghana again and failed, it was after those failures that they filled out the declaration forms; but by then they cannot convince the consular. That was why they were rejected for the second time.
After they fail to secure the visa, they are now looking for scapegoat to blame and now they are accusing me of being behind the refusal.
Panda stated that the players sign a protest letter not on his making, because on two occasions the boys informed the president Beresford Coker that their new coach Solomon Fatoma was not training them as most of the time he is absent only for them to trained themselves.
And that protest letter sign by the players according to Panda has nothing to do with their refusal of visa. The blame lies on the executive as they are responsible to follow the rules and they failed to fill out all the necessary documents.
