One of the young uprising coaches in Sierra Leone, Bo Rangers’ Ernest Hallowell, yesterday in an interview with Awoko Sports said he was determined to defeat Kallon FC on Sunday in the ongoing Premier League.
Coach Hallowell, when asked if he was going to have a match fixing with Kallon FC, noted that he would be the last coach to involve in such an act.
He mentioned that currently their manager from London was in town and that the only thing he needed was victory.
When asked if they (Kallon FC) had contacted some of their players without his knowledge he said his players would not be involved in such an act as they were more focused for this particular match.
Coach Hallowell mentioned that they were going to play Kallon FC more than all the other teams in the league to make the match fixing accusation laid to rest.
He appealed to SLFA to select a good referee to handle the match as they were determined to upset the defending champions.
In another development, Ports Authority now lead the league table after defeating Golden Dragons by a goal to nil to secure 50 points out of 25 matches played.
In the other match, Mount Auroel who are fighting relegation, defeated another team fighting relegation, Gem Stars, by two goals to nil. Both goals were scored in both halves.
In the other encounter, Nepean Stars of Bo defeated the hosts, Golf Leopards, by three goals to one at the National Stadium in Freetown.
