The Team Manager (TM) of the Leone Stars national senior team, Christian Dauda, says he is delighted with the job offer. He said, “It is an honour to serve my country in this capacity. Soon after the announcement, I called the Leone Stars head coach, John Keister, to congratulate him.” Dauda added, “We have a lot of work to develop sports, most especially football. I want to wish all appointees the very best of luck in their new roles. Sierra Leoneans will join me in congratulating all named managers, coaches and backroom staff. I wish all every success in their new roles.”
Christian Dauda went further to hail the Ministry of Sports and the Sierra Leone Football Association for what he described as a remarkable decision after the 100 percent appointment of national coaches. Dauda disclosed that in 2018, he, Sports Minister Ibrahim Nyelenkeh and the former Director of Sports attended the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) conference at the Vienna International Centre in Austria.
The Drugs and Crime Conference was held on challenges to organising sporting events, public procurement and how they can be addressed, including detecting corruption, among others.
