Alhaji Momodu Koroma, the running mate of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has told the people of Lokomasama and Kaffu Bullom chiefdoms in the Port Loko District that he is a real Temne.
He emphasized his origin when he was presented to the people by Vice President Solomon Berewa during the latter’s campaign tour ahead of the August 11 elections.
The foreign minister told his audience that he was a native of Tonkolili and hailed from the same town with the late Ibrahim Bash-Taqi and Mohamed Sorie Forna, and therefore urged all northerners to be proud of him and join the SLPP.
Alhaji Koroma went on to implore his audience that, “I am farsighted and can see what the future holds for you.”
He explained how the APC party manipulated to deny the late Vice President Sorie Ibrahim Koroma the leadership of this country.
He assured northerners that, “the pending elections are an eye opener to the development of this country,” and explained why the SLPP was determined to conduct it in a transparent and democratic manner.
