Blackpool Manager Ian Holloway has paid tribute to Sierra Leone’s International midfielder Al Bangura for helping to persuade Hameur Bouazza to sign for the club.
Former Watford and Fulham winger Bouazza, 24, recently agreed a one-year contract with an option for a second year.
Bangura, 21, who had been playing on a non-contract basis, also penned a similar deal.
Holloway said of Bouazza: “He is good friends with Al Bangura and, to be fair to Al, he did a good job on him before we got to speak to him. “Al has told him how we are and what we are doing here and the lad rang me and said could he come and have a look at us.”
Meanwhile, Holloway has taken former Stoke striker Vincent Pericard and ex-Rangers midfielder Brian Gilmour on trial.
