Team Sierra Leone is in Gambia for the first stage of Olympic qualification dubbed Continental Cup. The team was received by the High Commissioner, Lulu Sheriff, former principal of Harford Secondary School, Moyamba. She said she is receiving the team for the second time and she is very impressed by the progress made by the Sierra Leone Volleyball Association. She admonished the team to be disciplined and represent the country in the best way possible. “The Sierra Leone community is big here in Gambia and a victory in the tournament will give us joy. She went on to hand over to the captain the country’s flag as a symbol of authority until the much needed victory is landed.
