Three Sierra Leonean businesswomen have been arrested by Guinean security forces while trying to bring in goods from Guinea across the border to Kailahun district.
The women, who were arrested at Bondu crossing point, were detained on the grounds that Guinea was still volatile and they should not engage in cross-border trade until further notice.
Meanwhile on the Sierra Leonean side, authorities in Kailahun town are making moves to discourage people from engaging in across-border trade.
