GTBank donate prizes to children

Guaranty Trust Bank, one of the country’s leading banks as part of their cooperate social responsibility has donate prizes to the Children Media Foundation; a media based organization aimed at propagating the rights, duties, responsibilities and welfare of the children to the general public through the print and electronic media.
The bank is also sponsoring the foundation’s ‘Pikin Chat Room’, a programme incorporating issues surrounding children, their education, talent and their general welfare and it is aired every Sunday at 6.00 PM on the Universal Radio 98.7. Those children who participated in the questions and answered session of the programme that won are those that are receiving the branded GTBank Smart Kids Save prizes.
30 children had received their prizes comprise branded GTBank water bottles, pen, pencils,lunch park, picture frames and school bags. Star winners will be collecting their prizes on national television SLBC on October 28, 2012 at 3:30 PM.
Handing over the prizes to winners, Billynda Caulker Welfare Manager of the foundation admonished winners to continue listening and participate in the weekly radio programme as it educate and serve as a form of entertainment for children.
Winners of the various prizes have expressed their excitement and happiness to the bank and the foundation. They said ‘we will continue to participate in the programme so that we can win more prized and increase our knowledge on children issues.’
Saidu Paul Executive Director of the foundation applaud GTBank and stated that their partnership with the bank is in consideration of it contribution to children in the country.
He said it is the beginning of a very good relationship with the bank stating that he believes the bank will continue to partner with the foundation in their future programmes.
Paul said the foundation has been undertaking various projects to ensure that the voices of children are heard and that they form an important part of the nation’s development.
