The National Lawn Tennis coach Jimmy Wright has disclosed to Awoko Sports that the Good Life Fitness Lawn Tennis Academy will be launched in November this year.
He said they have enough time to prepare for the launching that is why they are putting mechanisms in place to have people of high personality to be part of the ceremony which is going to be great. Coach Wright said that they have decided to have this Academy so that those young ones who have talents in the game will be brought into the Academy to have better training.
He also stated that the Academy’s motto is to catch the young players at early age of 5-10 years if they are to become professional players in the future.
Coach Jimmy also revealed that they have about 15-20 players that are currently undergoing intensive training every Friday ,Saturday and Sunday at the Lawn Tennis Court at the National Stadium in Freetown. These players will be part of the Academy.
