The Greatest Goal Ministries have after their week long crusade in Kono and Freetown yesterday donated wheelchairs to about 50 disabled in Freetown at the Victoria Park.
Speaking about the donation the Country Director in the mission Pastor Mambu K Samai said within the frame work of the Greatest Goal Ministry the project has been provided with support received through GGM-USA in collaboration with PRO club, which is the largest fitness center in the United States along with International some 110 wheelchairs to the disabled in the country.
Out of these 110 wheelchairs about 50 of these wheelchairs have been donated to the disabled in Freetown and the rest will be donated to the other disabled in Kono, Makeni, Bo, Kenema and Kailahun.
Pastor Samai went further that their organization is a Non-Profit Christian Charitable Organization which also provides Christian outreach to the six thousand amputees from the civil war which raged in the country through 1990.
He also stated that GGM is giving support to a Soccer outreach program where the sport is played on Crutches and competitions with similar disabled teams internationally.
He also noted GGM is providing multiple support services like counseling and prayers, education support, micro loans for business and agricultural cultivation, Healthcare delivery and mobility services to amputees and their communities in the country.
Pastor Samai also said that GGM conducts annual vacation Bible School (VBS) program for the children and crusades for evangelism, motivation and edification in various communities.
He also mentioned that this support and recognition of the charity represents a distinction for innovative and sustainable social and human development programmers in the areas of Anti-Discrimination and social Integration, disabled Rights to education as well as the Environment.
