As the Division one play-off games continue Gem Stars of Tongo on Sunday came back very strong to defeat Yamastu Stars of Moyamba by three goals to one (3-1) after losing their first match to the Sierra Leone Police Football team by two goals to one(2-1) at the Kenema Town Playing Field.
The Sierra Leone Police FC win yesterday took them to the top of group ‘A’ dislodging the Gem boys.
In Group B, Diamond FC failed to make a comeback from their opening defeat suffered in the hands of Belvic United as they settled for a goalless draw with the Freetown City Council FC. They have now secured one point from two matches.
If they fail to win their two remaining matches they will bow out of the competition and get ready for the division one league.
