According reliable sources, four (4) candidates may vie for the Presidency of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) election slated for December 19, this year in Freetown.
Amongst the four candidates are the current NOC President Henry Moore, Andre Hope of the Athletics Association and two others whose names have not been disclosed. The Presidents of sixteen sporting disciplines are expected to cast their votes to determine who would man the affairs of the organization for the next four years.
The four candidates would be nominated two weeks before the election and they should be nominated by a member of their Association, to be seconded by another member outside the Association.
After the nomination, the candidates would be properly screened to determine their eligibility.
