Gibrilla Bangura , Mathew Sesay, Mohamed Kamara and Gabriel Turay were yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Komba Kamanda at the Freetown court No 2 to answer to five count charges of conspiracy to commit felony to wit robbery with aggravation, and robbery with violence on five persons.
According to the charge sheet read in court, its states that the incident happened around 18th September 2007 at 13, Goderich Street and Victoria Park.
Testifying in court the first complainant Christian Nwakwa who was robbed at 13 Goderich Street to the tune of 6,000 United States dollars and motor spare parts explained that on 18 September he was at his shop at the above address with his brother when some boys entered his shop.
The witness told the court that, the boys who entered were in possession of knives and bottles, adding that the boys then asked for his money to be given to them.
Christian Nwakwa said he then went in his office where he stayed until that came in.
He added that later his brother came in again and told him that he recognized the boys, disclosing that later police came to the scene and asked him to close his shop and to go to the central police station.
At the scene the complainant averred that police took photos of his shop.
Lawyer Musa Nu Kamara who appeared for the accused persons craved the indulgence of the court for bail to be granted to his clients.
After his application Magistrate Kamanda refused bail for the accused persons.
The matter comes up today for hearings.
