Hundreds of Muslim Jaamat in Kenema city and its environs assembled at Nyandeyama New site to witness the foundation laying ceremony of another mosque called Sufuyan Bin Ausaid Al-Hadramin in the Nyandeyama community.
In his welcome address the chief Iman of the mosque Sheik Alie A. Sheriff thanked all and sundry for gracing the ceremony saying it is a blessing for every one that spend his/ her time in the part of Islam.
He thanked Sheik Abdul Karim Morie Junisa for giving the land to the Jamat at Nyandeyama.
The chairman of the programme Sheik Hafiz A.B.Sannoh says the foundation ceremony at Nyandeyama is an important milestone for Muslims in Kenema district.
The chairman added that the mosque will go a long way in strengthening the Islamic religion in the Eastern Province.
He described the Islamic religion as one which encourages believers to copy the footstep of the Holy founder. He called on all Muslim to work according to prescribed rule and guidance in the Holy book and Quran.
The chief Imam for Nyandeyama mosque thanked the Badru Deen Mission for taking Islam to their door step through the contribution of the mosque.
Alieu Sheriff says the Al-jamat will work hard to ensure the realization of the dream of constructing the Nyandeyama mosque.
The Africa Muslim Agency (AMA) representative Sheik Tau Sufiyan Bul Ausaid says the mosque is a pride to all Muslims and therefore encouraged the Nyandeyama community to put the right person in the right place in order to propagate the faith of Islam.
He said the person who builds God’s house is the best some one can do in his or her life time. It is a pride for every Muslim in Kenema to open or build a mosque which is a sign that the Islamic religion has spread in Sierra Leone.
In his key note address the National Manager of Badru Deen Islamic Mission and Project Director Alhaji Unisa Bah told the gathering that the mosque belongs to all muslims and not to a tribe or family.
He said this is the seventh mosque in 2009 and more are to come up. He called on the Nyandeyama community to exhibit unity and love as one family in Islam. Alhaji Unisa Bah also thanked the land owning family for offering their land to construct the mosque.
He disclosed that this is the third mosque that they are putting the foundation for at Nyandeyama in two years. He cautioned them not to allow their mosque to be empty. He appealed to them to send their children to learn Arabic as they are the future leaders of the nation. Badru Deen Mission is bringing development for all in the nation he said.

Morie Amara Kamara, Regional Deputy chief Iman Alhaji Alpha Bah and the vote of thanks was done by Steven A.B. Fatorma a secretary to the Jaamat.
