The Federation of Sierra Leone Music Industry Stakeholders (FOSMIS) through efforts from other quarters have settled the long-standing dispute between the two musical maestros Mohamed Jimmy Rogers (Manzu) and Ibrahim A. Bangura (C-Bolt). The five months rift   emanated as a result of individual differences that erupted between them at a point of their nine years communal relationship.
The Secretary-General of FOSMIS and President, Cassette Sellers Association Abu Bakarr Kamara mentioned that the sole aspiration of FOSMIS is to promote the music industry in Sierra Leone, adding that the split that was between the two musicians was going to be a contributing factor to the decline of the music industry.
Moreover, since the spate of piracy is increasing at an alarming rate, FOSMIS has engaged with stakeholders in governance to work towards reducing if not eradicating piracy. He said that piracy has been an overriding force militating against the growth of the music industry and the time is too crucial for it to be stopped.
In this regard, FOSMIS is planning a countrywide tour shortly to sensitize members of the public on the dangers of piracy and the need to promote the music industry in Sierra Leone.
Manzu stated that the factors that resulted in their split will never repeat itself. He said he was able to learn that indeed “united they will stand, divided they are doomed”.
He added that their long – stay- apart built enormous courage in them to foster their project in putting Sierra Leone music first. He requested the public, especially their fans to give them their unflinching support to blaze the flame of the Sierra Leone music industry
C- Bolt mentioned that their reconciliation signifies the release of their third album in December this year. The album will contain 26 songs with video clips.
He assured members of the public of everlasting harmony and endless drive to contribute to the entertainment industry.
One of the key players in the promotion of the music industry in Sierra Leone Dr. Julius Spencer, who also acted as a driving force to reconcile the two musical legends maintained that he will always mediate between the two gentlemen to ensure a good working relationship.
He told all present that as a music lover himself, he will contribute ardently to the growth of the industry and the general welfare of Sierra Leone musicians.FOSMIS reconciles Manzu avec C- Bolt
