SIERRA LEONE, Makeni – Celebrated Italian Goal keeper, Gianluigi Buffon who’s globally dubbed as one of the Best Goalkeepers has gifted Sierra Leone’s Senior National Men’s Team (Leone Stars) first choice goalkeeper Mohamed Kamara with a signed Jersey for his show of brilliance in goal during the 33rd Edition of the TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations hosted in Cameroon.
The global goalkeeping star who remains famous for his stunning appearance record with over 1,100 professional career appearances to his name sent this gift to Sierra Leone’s promising gloves man through one of his team mate Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo at Parma, an Italian Serie-B side which he currently captains.
Upon presenting the gift to Leone Stars Kamara from his Parma team captain, the Super Eagles International, Nwankwo otherwise known as Simy extended warm greetings to Kamara from Buffon and presented the signed T-Shirt which according to the Sierra Leone Football Association is a gift earned by the 22-year-old Leone Stars and Horoya goalie from the widely regarded Italian professional goalkeeper Buffon as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, for the young goalie’s “exemplary performance in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2021 in Cameroon.” ARW/12/6/2022
