Francis Bockarie Margai of Largo town section in Kenema city on Tuesday 7th February 2012 made his first and final appearance before the presiding magistrate Alhaji Mohamed Momoh-Jah Stevens in the magistrate court in Kenema on the offence of causing to be registered more than one contrary to section 3 (1) of the electoral laws Act no.2 of 2002.
According to particulars of offence the accused person registered twice on the 24th of January 2012 and the 3rd February 2012 at the registration centre Tokpumbu 2 centre no. 010 ward 031 in Kenema town. The accused pleaded guilty to the charge and was then sentenced to two years imprisonment or to pay a fine of five hundred thousand Leones. The matter was prosecuted by Assistant Superintendent of Police Sahr Didi Lahai of the Kenema police division.
