The chairman of the Western Area Football Association who is also an executive member of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Alhaji Alim Sesay, has disclosed to Awoko Sports that they are going to build five more stadia in the country before the end of President Ernest Koroma’s administration.
Alim Sesay went further that out of the five stadia that would be built in the country, two would be in the Western Area and three in the provinces. “This will give Sierra Leone some chances to host the Africa Nations Cup and other major competitions,” he noted.
He mentioned that the only stadium that was hosting premier league and international matches was built by the government under the late Dr Siaka Stevens.
