The Football governing body FIFA has reduced Sierra Leone’s Referees to three instead of the previous five that was in the list last year
The three Referees that retained their names in the FIFA list to officiate this year in international competitions are the Physical fitness instructor Billy Parkinson, Abdul Karim Kabbia and Gibson Gaima.
In another development Liberia’s Referees have been appointed to officiate the East End Lions match against Dijboa of Mali in the CAF Orange Champion League match. The first League is slated for Saturday January 29, 2011 at the National Stadium.
The centre referee is Konah Ebenezer; first and second Assistant Referees are Gooding Augustine and Flanjay Jay E while the fourth Referee is Gibson Gaima from Sierra Leone. The Match Commissioner is Baratta Camara from Guinea.
The first leg match for the CAF Confederation Cup will be between Ports Authority FC and Toure Kunda Footpro of Senegal which will be played in Dakar on Sunday January 30th, 2011. Guinean Referees will officiate the match. Keita Yabboba will be in the centre while Kabba Mousa Bintu and Sillah Sekou Yalani will be assistant Referees one and two respectively.
