FCFC may take coach Zappa Koroma to court
Freetown City football Club (FCFC) team manager Sima Pakay Conteh has said that the last option is to take redress in court after coach Francis Zappa Koroma have failed to go by the contact he signed with the club
According to Sima Conteh he said Coach Zappa Koroma signed a four-year contact which is refer to 4 football seasons worth 10 million leones and each month he was receiving two million leones and he started receiving that money from April to date
Team Manager Sima said when this issue came up the club have written two letters to the Scribe of the Sierra Leone Football Association Chris Kamara copy Western Area Football Association (WAFA), Premier League Board and the club in question which coach Zappa is presently coaching Kambui Eagles but nor of them have responding to their call
And for that reason, the only option now is to take redress in court as a council we have informed our lawyers according to the contractual agreement which state that as a contracted coach, you shall have no right to enter into any contract or unlawful relationship that contravenes the contents of this agreement with any other club or individual without the pre knowledge of the executive of FCFC
The contract may be reviewed after one year or football season as the executive may deem necessary. The contract of a coach can be suspended or terminated by the executive of FCFC as long as it has the approval of the club board/sports committee if the said coach or coaches do not perform satisfactorily during his /their coaching job.
