Freetown City Council (FCC) Constituency Volleyball competition will end today at the Victoria Park after a week of competitive tournament.
The competition is been played in three different venues with 17 Constituencies playing on a knockout bases with the four best constituencies qualifying for a round robin.
The round robin started with the men’s’ team in a game of five between constituency 97 and constituency 103
Constituency 97 defeated their opponent constituency 103 three straight sets; 25-18, 25-17, and 25-21
In the other match Constituency 110 defeated constituency 109 also by three sets to nil 27-25, 25-12, and 25-21.
In the female category which is the best of three, constituency 97 defeated constituency 103 2-1. The first game was won by constituency 103; 25-20. In the second game, constituency 97 leveled the score when they won 25-12 and in the final, which was the best of 15 was won by constituency 97 by 15-11.
In the other match it was an easy over work over for constituency 109 women’s team when they out played and defeated their opponent by two straight sets 25-15 and 25-14.
The winners in each category at the end of the round robin will receive One million Leones as prize money.
