As the Central One Football Association (COFA) U-14 league continue at the Parade Grounds in the central part of the city, FC Larry and FC Logus will battle each other in their last match in the group stage.
FC Larry, who scored just one goal in the competition thus far, lost all three of their matches played and failed to qualify for the next stage of the competition. They’ll look to play the role of spoilers as a win in today’s match will not change their position in the league.
FC Logus and their high-powered offense, which has led to six goals in three matches, looks to keep their hopes of advancing to the next stage of competition alive. The team’s passage to the next round depends on the outcome of the Boston-Kissy U-14 match. FC Logus will automatically advance with a win over FC Larry and a Kissy defeat. If both FC Logus and Kissy win, lose or tie their respective matches, whichever team scores the most goals will advance.
The first team to qualify in that group is Real Mack after humiliating their opponent Kissy U-14 squad, 4-0, on Monday to secure their 9 points to proceed to the next stage of the competition.
Some of the result of the recent matches played so far: Same Face 4-Fem Stars 0,
FC Logus 2-Real Mack 0, FC Larry 0-Boston 1, Qua Smart 0-FC Bureh 0,
FC Pizzo 0, Aunty Mems 0.
The competition will continue tomorrow between FC Malcom and Balletonians in a very crucial encounter as both teams are going for a win to have chances to go to the next stage of the competition.
