In preparation of their trip to Sweden and Norway in July the technical team of FC Johansen has lined up series of friendly matches and over the weekend the team won their first friendly match against Congo Contractors when they defeated them by four goals to one (4-1) at the National stadium main bowl.
It was the visiting Congo Contactors who first took the lead mid-way into the first half, forcing the host FC Johansen into the offensive. They were able to level the score by an own goal.
After the goal they were more desperate looking for more goals when they were awarded a penalty which was converted by Issa Koroma from the penalty spot to extend their lead to two goals to one (2-1) before the end of the first half.
During the second half of the match FC Johansen new comer in the team Ahmed Hassan (Tiago) scored a superb goal to extend the lead to three goals to one (3-1) after the goal. Some minutes later Galleh Bah extended the lead to four goals to one (4-1).
After the match the head coach of FC Johnasen Jonathan Rhodes said that since they started preparation they lost their first match to Kissy All stars after the match they went back to the drawing board that was why the team was able to put a superb performance against Congo Contractors.
He also mentioned that some new players have come on board to beef up the squad as they are going to these competitions to win all their matches.
The team is also expected to play other friendly match this weekend
