The deputy Minister of Education Youth and Sport Algassimu Jah in a statement told FC Johansen players and officials that they are the hope for Salone’s football after winning in Norway.
He made this statement when the team bid farewell to him at his Bishop House office at the National Stadium before departing for Sweden.
He revealed that he was happy to see FC Johansen representing this country in a major competition like The Gothia Cup which has produced players that are presently among the best in the world.
Minister Jah also stated that FC Johansen is going to Sweden and Norway to change the image of this country as they would play and return back to Sierra Leone.
He told the players that what is happening now is not a dream but a reality and the sky should now be their limit.
“Everything is possible in life if you are determined to succeed.
The reason why you were able to achieve since the foundation of the club is because proprietress Isha Johansen was very determined” the minister said.
He congratulated the team for winning and in the future so they will continue their success and be proud ambassadors of the country.
The delegation arrived yesterday after a successful outing in Sweden and Norway.
