The Deputy Minister 2, of Education, Youth and Sports; Dr Lansana Nyallay yesterday unveiled a 22 seater mini-bus to help ease the transportation problem for students of Fourah Bay college. The unveiling ceremony took place at ‘Bustik, FBC.
In his unveiling statement The Deputy minister encouraged the student body to desist from violence and remain united in the pursuit of their academic goals.
Mr. Nyallay further advised them not to allow themselves to be confused and used by politicians. “Your future is in your hands so politicians should not divide you” he said.
Receiving the keys to the bus, the outgoing President of the Fourah Bay College Student Union; Alhaji Abu Komeh expressed satisfaction over his executive’s performance amidst a difficult global economic climate averring.
He further proudly stated that the bus is an indelible legacy that his executive will leave for students of FBC.
He promised a peaceful transition and encouraged his colleagues to remain law abiding and make good use of the mini bus which he said would be operated on a cost recovery basis and enhance the welfare of the students.
