Farmer rejoices after winning Celtel’s Million Leones raffle

Mohamed Kamara a farmer at Songo on Saturday screamed with joy and laughter after he was informed by MC Abu Bakarr Kanu that he had won a million leones from the Celtel weekly ‘Win a House promo’ held at the National Stadium Car Park.
Mr Kamara said over the phone “I am a poor poor farmer residing in Songo. I am very happy for this prize which I will use to buy more crops and add to my farming.”
The farmer who disclosed that he takes care of his family by using the proceeds from the cassava, corn and groundnut that he cultivates, said “this will take me a long way in my farming.”
He noted “Today Celtel has really proved that they are indeed the bomba”
Another winner a 2nd year student of the Milton Margai College of Education asked the MC to repeat his words saying “I do not believe what I have just heard.”
The winner revealed that he had only Le5,000 (five thousand Leones) for the weekend “this prize is indeed a blessing because I am going to use that money to pay all my fees.”
Another winner Mayeni Sillah who resides in Tintafore Lungi had only praises for Celtel saying “the bomba, the bomba the bomba I am very happy for Celtel.” Osman Fullah who also won a million Leones during the draw prayed that Celtel remains the leading network in the country.
The winner for the gas Cooker Fatmata Koroma complimented the network saying “Celtel has made me a bomba I am very happy for Celtel because they have made my life better.”
Collecting her mountain bicycle from head of procurement of Celtel Mr Kelvin Kelly, the winner Juliet Squire said she was lost for words and “all I wish to say at this moment is to thank Celtel for the prize and I appreciate them.”
It was unfortunate for subscriber with mobile number 898698 who was the first winner for the ‘21inches’ Coloured television as he did not abide by the rule, and had switched off his phone.
Yusuf Lavalie who resides in Rutile, eventually became the winner after the draw was held again.
