Former Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority NRA Alieu Sesay again appeared in the High Court before Justice Ademusu on January 17th 2011.
Led in evidence by the prosecuting lawyer Reginald S. Fynn, additional witness Eugene Edwin Dan-Luke an Information Technology (IT) Consultant at Dancells Business Centre 25 Big Waterloo Street told the court that the document presented to him by the prosecuting lawyer does not bear the correct name and address of his business. The name on the document was Dan cells Enterprise and the address on it was 25 Big Waterloo Street. By then he testified he was operating his business at 22 Big Waterloo Street and he did not even recognize the Eugene Cole name on the document.
The witness further stated that the Bill of Forms and Price schedule submitted to him as the second document bears the name of E.S. Benjamin of 49 Big Waterloo Street which was also completely strange to him. The third page of the same document bears the witness name Eugene Edwin Dan-Luke but the address there was wrong, and he said he does not recall issuing such document to NRA. NRA has a data base storage facility for its customers which the witness denied having knowledge about even though he accepts doing business with NRA based on his profession as IT Consultant sometime in the past. The data base contains names of NRA customers’ nationwide. In further examination a Bidding document was also submitted to the witness who said that he never knew the people that prepared the document at NRA. The case was adjourned to Monday 21st February 2011.
