The presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), Ernest Bai Koroma, while addressing party faithful in Kenema city called for a change in attitude.
Hundreds of his party supporters dressed in their party colour sang songs in praise of their party as the motorcade of Mr Koroma processed from the Holy Trinity Parish field unto the Kenema main football field.
The police, who provided security, did not allow the party supporters to pass through any of the other political parties’ offices in the city.
Ernest Bai Koroma described the day as big in Kenema saying, “what I have witnessed today is a clear manifestation of overwhelming vote for the APC on election day.”
He described the APC as “a changed party which has come for the good of the nation,” but confessed that his party did very bad good things in the past and apologized for that and asked for forgiveness.
The APC flagbearer presented all his party’s Kenema parliamentary candidates to his supporters and called for a change of attitude “so that we can go through a free and fear election.”
“The APC party is the only party that will positively address Sierra Leone’s poverty, electricity problem, water supply, education, health and other areas neglected by the SLPP. Let nobody makes any mistake about it,” he noted.
Mr Koroma said, “we have the relevant experience to change Sierra Leone to higher height for the good of all.”
In his statement Mr Koroma’s running mate, Sam Somana who was presented to the party supporters, called on them to go all out to make their dreams a reality by voting in Hon. Ernest Bai Koroma to power come August 11.He noted that, “it is only by doing so that you will overcome poverty so that the country will be for all”.
