After the arraignment, the police prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Osman M. Bangura told the Bench that he hadn’t had any conference with his witness. He therefore requested adjournment.
Following the request, defense counsel tried in vain to secure bail for his clients.
In his response, Magistrate Sahr Kekura remarked that given that the accused persons are employees of the Red Cross Society, there is the likelihood of interference with the witness, should she grant them bail.
