Paramount Chief Bai Sheborah Kondor III and Elders of Yoni Chiefdom Constituency 61 have expressed dissatisfaction at the actions and activities of their parliamentarian, Hon. Lloyd Hallowell.
The Paramount Chief said that the MP lacks respect for chiefdom elders and their tradition.
He said Mr Hallowell initiated into the Poro secret society 400 boys without the consent and approval of the chiefdom authorities which he said was contrary to their customs and traditions.
The Elders also said that Hon. Hallowell had failed to bring development to the constituency and that when South Africa-based lecturer, Professor Mohamed Bangura, made known his intention to construct 3 bridges leading to three major sections in the Yoni Chiefdom, the MP frowned at the idea alleging that they were undermining his authority.
They also said that Hon. Lloyd Hallowell stopped SALCOST from blasting granite stones for the construction of the Masiaka-Bo Road after the company had paid their royalty fee to the Chiefdom authorities.
P.C. Bai Sheborah Kondor III and Elders of the Chiefdom praised the Chiefdom Treasury Clerk S.Y. Koroma for his giant strides in revenue collection for the Chiefdom Administration.
They further stated that Koroma worked relentlessly to supersede the targeted revenue.
The P.C. called on government to urge the MP to work with them for the development of the chiefdom.
