The newly appointed team manager of Kissy Strikers U-14, Abu Koroma said that his first priority with the team is to make sure that all the boys are educated. He made this statement during the official launching of the team at the Boston Community hall at Kissy last Friday.
He said that he is going to make sure that all those who will be playing for the team is a matter of must they should be going to school as they want to build the team on those who are pupils so that the team will have good foundation.
Abu Koroma also donated three scholarships to three of the boys who are not going to school because financial constraint. He went further to assured these three boys that he will do everything possible to see them up to university level
Abu Koroma also stated that he is happy for the appointment and he has decided to take it for the simple reason that he comes from Kissy. He appealed to the people of Kissy to come on board to assist in any way they can for the development of the team.
The People in the community thanked Abu Koroma for taking such a bold step to educate the boys of Kissy Strikers which they the parent are grateful of.
According Osman Ola he said Abu Koroma has been the team Manager of Kissy Strikers senior side were he create serious impact and he is going to create more impact in the U-14 side as this side is a big challenge
Ola said the Kissy Striker U-14 have been in operation for the past years now and for the past five years it has been run by coach Benji Sesay (OC) who have done very well for the team but this time around they have decided to launch it so that the community people will come on board to assist their community team.
