The lives of two Sierra Leoneans would never be the same again. While the rest of the country will be glued to the TV screen to watch the finals of theAfrican Nations Cup (CAN), Abel Janneh and Abu Bakarr Conteh would watch the historic event at first hand.
“It is a dream come true, I could not express how I feel when ECOBANK told me they will send me to Ghana to watch the Nation’s Cup Final” said Abel.
Mr Bah who is head of retail Banking said that ECOBANK with a flare to promote sport had conducted a raffle in the 20 African countries the bank is operating.
He said that any new member of the public that opened an account with the bank automatically qualified for the raffle and their account number was sent to the regional office where the draw was done.
He said that the bank had already secured a ticket for the two Sierra Leoneans who would join other African colleagues that also won the ECOBANK raffle.
“They will travel to Lungi by helicopter and fly by Kenya Airways to Ghana today, and stay in an hotel where they would be provided with great care and comfort.” the Head of Retail Banking said.
The Bank has meanwhile promised more exciting promotions in the long run.
The Head of Operations, Mr Philip Brown said that they would in the shortest possible time introduced their Automated Tele Machine which will be used in all the 20 African countries they are operating in and in the not distant future will be used in over 60 000 ATM Ports all over the world.
