In a press release issued yesterday the Executive members of Easton Rangers football club have reacted to an article on one of our local newspapers captioned Easton Rangers-NTL in Partnership.
The press release stated that the Executive members will like the general public to know that the caption is not only false but also a deliberate attempt by Albayrak to sow seeds of discord amongst the general membership of Easton Rangers FC.
“Even though an approach was made by NTL to partner with Easton Rangers FC through the Secretary General Ismail Sesay, the two executives have never sat together in a meeting at any point in time to reach to such conclusion as stated in the newspaper.”
The press release also mentioned that Easton Rangers is and will continue to be an independent club and the current Executive members which list is with the SLFA secretariat remains the same and valid to the club.
The press release further noted that never has Easton Rangers FC through communication to the relevant football authorities and bodies changed its name and that of the executive members.
“We would like to clarify further that Anthony Navo Jr. still remains the chairman of Easton Rangers FC while Abdul Karim Sesay and Mohamed Conteh alias grandfather are dissociating themselves from the story on the local newspaper, and they have never been nominated to serve in any football committee.”
The Press release also went further to inform Albayrak that Easton rangers Football Club is owned by a Community and not an individual.
Proposals made about the development of football and the club, were not documented because of any confirmation. Pending proposals are to be discussed between NTL and Easton Rangers football club executive.
