Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – In a captivating journey through the dunes of Morocco, Sierra Leone’s renowned rapper, Drizilik, takes on the Budapest Rally with a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado TX. Setting off at 7:30 am for a 1000 KM drive from Assa to Dakhla, Drizilik and his friends will cruise at 120 Km/h through the challenging desert terrain, sharing tales of their adventures.
Ecstatic by the development in remote Moroccan villages, Drizilik notes the country’s strong network connectivity, showcasing its beauty and progress. Embarking on a journey from Budapest on January 26, 2024, the rally traverses Europe with only one extended marathon stage before reaching Genoa or Spanish ports for a ferry crossing. The Morocco leg promises demanding stages, featuring mountain roads, rocky paths, and the allure of the Sahara’s eastern side.
Mauritania adds a touch of Saharan magic with golden sand dunes, desert paths, and fast salt flats, while Senegal welcomes the rally with grassy savannas, traditional village life, and vibrant festivals. Guinea presents a transition from dry savannas to lush green areas, passing through the Fouta Djallon highlands in central Guinea.
Finally, the Budapest-Bamako Rally will make its way to Sierra Leone, a hidden gem among tourist destinations. Palm-lined sandy beaches and picturesque African villages characterize this magical land. The rally culminates with a grand beach party at Bureh Beach, complete with seafood chefs and local musicians, followed by finish line ceremonies at the national stadium.
As Drizilik and his friends continue their ride for autism awareness, the Budapest Rally proves to be more than a race—it’s a journey through diverse landscapes, cultures, and unexpected wonders, showcasing the spirit of adventure and resilience in the heart of West Africa. OG/3/2/2024
