The SLPP former Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, Dr Sheku Bah Saccoh has declared his intention to lead the SLPP unto 2012 elections.
The former Ambassador spoke to the Press recently at the SLPP Headquarters where he also dispelled rumors that he has left the SLPP for APC, which he described as dangerous and irresponsible. Dr Saccoh highlighted that when the SLPP lost the Presidential elections, the APC Government asked them to stay little longer to see the smooth transition period for which he said they made the sacrifice “This was misconstrued by my enemies and detractors to label me a turn coat, a sort of political chameleon” With that, he continued, his loyalty was persistently questioned about his loyalty to the SLPP which he reiterated was still firm.
He stressed his commitment to the party and said he was born into an SLPP home in Kalangba, Bombali District and thus affirmed his commitment “I am standing here not to just dispel these irresponsible, malicious and debilitating rumors and attack on my character; I am here to also announce to you that, I intend to lead the party starting from now till 2012 when we would occupy State House”.
