Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Dr. Joseph Kamara, a renowned figure in Sierra Leone and part of the executive team of Sports Life International, launched the 25-year celebration of Jog for Jesus at St. Edward Secondary School field on Saturday, March 30th, 2024.
Reflecting on the history of Jog for Jesus, Dr. Kamara mentioned that the inaugural event took place in 2000. With the upcoming milestone of 25 years, he emphasized the importance of commemorating this achievement in a grand manner and called on everyone to join in the celebration.
Highlighting the impact of Jog for Jesus over the years, Dr. Kamara noted that many participants have gone on to hold significant positions in society, including parliamentary and presidential roles. Looking ahead to the anniversary celebration in 2025, Dr. Kamara revealed plans to expand beyond the traditional marathon jog.
