Solomon Berewa S.L.P.P Leader

Vice President Berewa has called on Sierra Leoneans not to trust the country’s future in the hands of the All Peoples’ Congress (APC).
He made these remarks in Kono following the APC street carnival last Wednesday after the launching of their manifesto, which he dubbed as “all out war.”
Speaking during his last campaign visit to Kono last Friday, the Vice President emphasized that “their method of politics is violence, dictatorial and does not allow the people to have their say.”
He further alleged that the APC has hired consultants who are now working round the clock to device strategies on how to rig the elections, while describing the APC flagbearer Ernest Koroma as one who has never held any responsible position outside his Insurance Company.
The SLPP flagbearer opined that, “he was just a small insurance clerk with no better experience.”
On Charles Margai, the SLPP Presidential candidate said, “he is a dishonest man who during his tenure as Minister was never able to present any sober program that could have led this country to progress.”
VP Berewa further told the crowd that, “all he (Charles Margai) knew was to award contracts to his girlfriends,” and cautioned citizens to be careful as August 11 is the day they will have to decide their own fate.
The visit was the last for the SLPP front runner for the Presidency in Kono and he therefore took the opportunity to express his sincere thanks and appreciation for the high turnout of the inhabitants which he said is quite satisfactory and above all had given him the hope of winning the election.
To the chiefs, he said, “I have the impression that you will also sensitize your subjects on the issues of good governance and what to do during election day,” stressing that as far as Kono is concerned he has no doubt that the people would retain their loyalty to the party.
