The Central One Football Association’s (COFA) U-14 league is still in progress, as Boston will battle Real Mack in a stiff encounter at the Parade Grounds today.
After losing their first match, 2-0, against F C Logus, Boston will do everything possible to win their second match to keep alive some hope of proceeding to the next stage of the competition, because if they lose, they’re done.
A tie would keep their hopes alive, but chances of advancing would be very slim.
Real Mack is in a more favorable position. They defeated FC Larry, 1-0, and will want to continue on their winning spree until the end of the competition. A win for them today will guarantee them passage to the next stage of the competition.
The competition will continue over the weekend with Real Friends engaging Dove United. Both teams lost their first match, each by a lone goal, and both teams are going for a win to have some assurance of going to the next stage.
In a match that is expected to set some fireworks, FC Pizzo will face the Balletonians on Sunday. FC Pizzo held a highly-rated Sierra Rangers to a goalless draw in their first match, while their opponent Ballectonians won theirs when they edged Aunty Mems, 2-1.
Other matches resulted as follows: FC Sannoh 1-Same Face 0, FC Larry 1-Kissy 2
Africell 1- Luke Farm 1 and Fem Stars 1-Qua-Smart 2
