The Director of Sports Bai Kabia has given strict warning to all sporting associations to submit reports on their activities to the Sports Council.
He warned that this situation would not be allowed to continue; otherwise it would be business as usual.
He maintained that it is now a policy that no sports delegation should leave the shores of Freetown without the prior knowledge of the Ministry of Sports, through the National Sports Council. More so, all sports delegation should be accompanied by an official from the Ministry or the Sports Council.
The Director stressed that on the completion of any function of activity, a report should be sent to the Ministry through the National Sports Council; as this would give them a better understanding of the implications.
Bai Kabia pointed out that a clear calendar of activities must be forwarded to the Ministry of Sports, through the Sports Council in good time to allow for budget planning allocation.
He finally stated that any association which does not comply with these policy arrangements would be treated with disfavor.
